Wolves Fight Tough On Senior Day

MACON, Ga.– Wesleyan College volleyball celebrated Senior Day on Saturday afternoon, honoring Mayah Misi as the program's lone senior before falling to Andrew College in straight sets (15-25, 23-25, 19-25) at Mount de Sales Academy.

Although an injury prevented Misi from taking the court, the occasion provided an opportunity to recognize her dedication and contributions to the Wolves volleyball program. Misi's presence and commitment to her teammates were celebrated as Wesleyan recognized her collegiate career.

On the court, the Wolves were led offensively by Camryon Redding, who finished with seven kills, while Amaya Harris added six kills on an efficient .333 hitting percentage. Harris also contributed two service aces.

Ella Allison anchored the Wesleyan defense with a match-high 19 digs while adding five assists and two service aces. Illise Quaye directed the offense with 12 assists and seven digs, while Jamilet Lozada contributed four kills and nine digs.

After dropping the opening set 25-15, Wesleyan responded with a stronger performance in the second. Trailing 18-14, the Wolves rallied behind consecutive service aces from Allison and a kill by Harris to even the score at 18. Wesleyan continued to battle, pulling within one point late in the set before Andrew College escaped with a 25-23 victory.

The third set featured eight ties and five lead changes as Wesleyan continued to compete. The Wolves briefly took a 13-11 advantage behind kills from Lozada and Redding before Andrew College regained control and closed out the match 25-19.
