Winter Garden, FL - Impressive performances by pitcher Mellissa Webb in both games played on Sunday evening gave Wesleyan's softball team the advantage they needed to earn two big wins at the Clermont Spring Break Tournament in Winter Garden, FL. The Wolves earned a five inning shutout win against Penn State-Brandywine 8-0 and followed that up with a nine inning come from behind win over Webster University 12-11.

NOTABLES:
- Senior pitcher Mellissa Webb had another dominant performance in the circle, throwing her second complete game shutout in three games. In five innings pitched against PSU-B, she gave up only three hits and one walk while striking out nine, upping her impressive season total to 46 Ks in nine games.
- Offense was on display from the top to the bottom of the hitting order with six batters recording hits in the game. Bela Bravo, Jema Bravo, Victoria Clower, and Alyssa Flowers each picked up two hits with Bela, Jema, and Victoria each also recording a double in the game.
- Victoria Clower and Nicole Wilson each added two RBIs to their season totals, while Tiffani Linville, Jema Bravo, Alyssa Flowers, and Ashley Bush each drove in one run.

NOTABLES:
- Wesleyan pounded out 16 hits and came back from a 9-4 deficit after three innings to earn the extra innings win.
- In the ninth inning, Tiffani Linville hit a triple, scoring Bela Bravo and tying the game. Jema Bravo then singled to score Linville, giving Wesleyan the exciting win.
- Jema Bravo has hit her stride offensively once again this season, going 4-for-6 with 2 RBIs and a run scored against Webster. For the day, she was a combined 6-for-9 with 3 runs and 3 RBIs.
- Freshman Ashley Bush also recorded four hits (4-for-4) with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs.
- Mellissa Webb came on in the fourth inning and shut down Webster's offense, giving up only five hits and no earned runs while striking out eight batters.

""We hit the ball really well today, and I'm very proud of our effort,"" remarked Wesleyan head coach Dickey Hightower. ""Mellissa was dominant in the first game and then came in in relief against Webster and absolutely shut them down. We dug ourselves a pretty big hole in that game, but the girls never gave up and fought back to get the extra innings win. I'm really proud of them and the attitude they exhibited on the field.""
