Macon, GA - Jema Bravo had two of Wesleyan's six hits in what proved to be the season ending game for the Wesleyan softball team, who fell 5-1 to Agnes Scott in an elimination game of the Great South Athletic Conference Championship on Sunday afternoon. She hit two stand up doubles off the outfield fence, proving once again why she was named the league's Player of the Year.

- Mellissa Webb took a line drive off the shin in the fifth inning but remained in the game to pitch her 16th complete game of the season. She rung up four Agnes Scott batters today to up her season total to 108 strikeouts while walking only 28.
- Bravo finished the year batting .400 with a .592 slugging percentage and 48 hits.
- Jessica Fleming's offensive performance in this year's tournament pushed her season ending batting average to .340 and her on base percentage to .518.
- Wesleyan wrapped up the season with 15 wins, the most in program history.
- Agnes Scott advanced to the championship game, where they fell to eventual champions Salem College, 3-0.

""I thought we had a pretty good tournament and a great season,"" remarked Wesleyan head coach Dickey Hightower. ""We still have work to do, but with our returners and some new recruits, we are shooting for an even better season next year. Our freshmen got some good experience this year, and I will be at tournaments starting this weekend to add some depth to our roster.""
