NOTABLES:
- Freshman Jessica Fleming went 3-for-7 with three runs scored in the two games today. Fleming leads the Wolves in nearly every offensive category: batting average (.404), slugging perenctage (.439), on base percentage (.521), hits (23), runs scored (18) and stolen bases (5).
- Junior Mellissa Webb has won her last three outings in a row to improve to 4-5 in the circle, while Nicole Wilson moved to 2-1 on the season.
- Freshman Valerie Clower hit her first collegiate home run today. Injured a week ago, she stepped to the plate in a pinch hitting situation and cleared the bases with a line drive to the fence.
QUOTABLE:
""We played pretty well again today and I'm proud of our girls for getting two more wins on the road,"" remarked Wesleyan head coach Dickey Hightower. ""We probably could have scored several more runs today, but we stranded a fair number of runners on base again today. We have to play with a little more intensity and have more of a winning mentality as we move forward because we have several tough road games ahead of us in the next couple of weeks.""
