KEY MOMENT:
In Game 1, Wesleyan jumped out to an early two-run lead on a Victoria Clower RBI double and a Mellissa Webb RBI single. Covenant tied the game in the fifth inning on RBI singles by Kaitlyn Sirmons and Morgan Lane. Lane would go on to take advantage of a two-out error in the seventh inning by Wesleyan to score Sirmons on a go-ahead double to seal the win for the Scots.

Game 2 saw Wesleyan fall behind early before clawing its way back to a tie game by the sixth inning. After forcing extra inning, the Wolves couldn't push their runner across the plate and fell just short of grabbing their first win of the season.

Wesleyan left 12 runners on base in both games of the doubleheader, ultimately making the difference at the end of the day.

QUOTABLE:
""We played much better today than we did last weekend, so we are already seeing improvement, which is encouraging,"" remarked Wesleyan head softball coach Dickey Hightower. ""We hit the ball much better and we played much better defensively, but we still made a few critical errors that we need to work on. Once we correct those minor errors that are cropping up here and there, we will be much more consistent.""
