Berea Steal the Win in 2OT Today

If you were not at Panoz Field today for this missed out. The Wesleyan Wolves struck first in the match with a goal by Feltework Blitch. The Mountaineers of Berea College answered back with two goals before the twenty-sixth (26th) minute and went into halftime with a 2-1 lead. With a beautiful assist by Freshman Thi Sow; Alyssa Key tied the game at 2-2 shortly into the second period. The game would remain tied through the end of regulation. The Wolves and Mountaineers battled it out through the first overtime period without either gaining the edge. Shortly into the second overtime, Berea's Bailee Vanover would bring in the winning goal to end the game with the win of 3-2. 

The match was a physical one. Four yellow cards were issued during the match that ended with each team being in double digits for fouls. Senior Carlee Dykes continued to add to her saves numbers today with fifteen (15). Senior Q Brandon was credited with three defensive saves in yet another stellar game in the back line defense. 

The Wolves continue their season Wednesday against conference foe LaGrange College. The game will be at Panoz Field at 6:00PM.
