In his first full season as Head Coach of the Wesleyan Wolves Soccer program, Seth Semones releases the 2019 schedule today. Coming off a 2 win season in 2018 which also included a Head Coach change, Coach Semones hopes to put the past behind them and build on the experience of returning players as well as a strong recruiting class. When asked about the 2019 schedule, Coach Semones said, "The 2019 schedule is different than it has been for the past several years. It is going to match the caliber of team we are going to have this year. It will be tough. Outside of a competitive conference schedule, the Wolves are going to have to rally together against some new and tough opponents such as Tennessee Wesleyan. In addition, we kept some strong rivalries such as Birmingham Southern. The idea is that we are not here to coast. We have brought in a talented and driven group of players to match the desire and passion of the returners."
The Wolves will open the official season with a field dedication game on Panoz Field on the Wesleyan Campus. Panoz Field has recently been totally overhauled due to contributions of the Panoz family and has become one the most stellar soccer fields in the USA South Conference. The Wolves will welcome visiting teams in nine home games this season with four of those being conference opponents. The Seniors will be recognized in a Senior Day game on October 20, at 3:00PM.
