The Wesleyan Wolves soccer program battled tough for 90 minutes on Wednesday in a 4-1 lose to Sewanee University in Tennessee. A tight match for 70 minutes, 2 goals ultimately gave way for a Sewanee win.

Wesleyan Freshmen Audrey Mecklenburg scored her second goal of the season in the match.

Head Coach Don Tees commented: "Tough result today. Scoreline doesn't reflect how we played today." Tees added: "The ladies have shown tremendous progress in the last few days and games to move forward. As a coach, we are getting better each and every day, despite all that is on our shoulders. I couldn't be happier with how we played. With that said though, we must now attempt to limit the mental lapses in the game which is our achilles heel this year. Just small moments could easily change the season around; but this is on the ladies to find this positivity and belief in themselves."
